About Us
The Charity was officially launched in August 2014, under the name of the Kevin Green Angling Academy and later, changed to The Fish 4 Life Angling Academy.
The Charity initially participated in a number of National Fishing monthly events, and then going on to creating an education and training program working with people with disabilities or social exclusion including the following;

Ex forces personnel suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Adults with Learning Difficulties

Adults with Physical Disabilities

Social Inclusion projects for Disadvantaged Youngsters

Young people that had been Excluded from School

Youth offenders

Over the past few years the Charity has grown from being based in the Essex region to expanding with new regions offering the same services as identified above in the North East of England and South West of England.
The Charity had started out with a few individuals aware of the need to provide fishing to all people across all walks of life and to promote the benefits of a healthy environment and lifestyle.
Key personnel in setting up the Charity and devoting a vast amount of time and effort over the last few years are the following;
Dave Milton- Trustee/ Vice Chairman
Lead Coach and Event Co-ordinator who sadly passed away recently and will be forever remembered and appreciated for his devotion to setting up the Charity and being a driving force along the way. Dave was also a Trustee of the Charity and with his drive and enthusiasm, the Academy is in a position now where approval has been granted to build a purpose built log cabin at the Academy’s base in Puddledock Farm Fishery at Upminister, Essex
Martin Roessler- Trustee/ Chairman
Chairman and Trustee of the Academy, working alongside Dave Milton on the Cabin Log project and raising the money by funding from various organisations or individual donations.
Martin spends a considerable amount of his time meeting with other organisations to either promote the Academy’s services, or to explain how we can assist and provide fishing events across the regions, along with events to raise awareness and funds. Martin also is a licensed level 2 coach and takes part in the fishing events.
Trevor Savory-Trustee & South West England
Trevor started fishing when he was 5 (some 55 years ago). Progressed to match fishing. Joined the army at 15 and fished for the Army team before becoming Secretary of the Army Angling Association. He left the service in 1994 and continued match fishing whilst being manager of a small lake complex. in 2004 Trevor obtained his coaching licence level 2 and has continued providing fishing events in Cornwall and the surrounding areas. Trevor became a Trustee in 2017 and continues a dual role in organizing fishing events in the South West of England.
Keith Miller- Trustee
Keith joined as a Trustee in 2016, with the aim to increase awareness of the Angling Academy in surrounding boroughs to the home fishing base at Puddledock Farm.
Working with other dis-abilities groups in the boroughs to encourage them to participate and provide an opportunity for adults with learning difficulties to attend fishing events.
Keith has worked with young children and adults in various sports providing coaching and management of teams and events.
Graham Walker -Trustee & North East England
Graham Walker- FCA is a Chartered Accountant based in a small village just outside York.
Started angling as a nine year old and qualified as a PAA angling coach in 2000
When coaching was formalized under the Angling Trust his application was the second one to be registered with his licence being #2.
Graham became a Trustee in 2017 and continues his dual role in organizing fishing events in the North East of England.

Volunteers
There are a number of people who contribute a vast amount of their time and effort in raising funds, administration support and general running of the academy and are greatly appreciated by the trustees.
